When we allow other people to rent out space in our heads we give them magnificent power.
We give them power over our emotions, our actions, and really our state of being in that moment.
They will take that power if we give it.
The good news is that we have a choice.
When we forget that we diminish our power and we feel helpless, frustrated, and victimized.
When we point the finger outward we may feel justified in that moment, but if we adjust our lens and turn it inward, we take our power back.
By questioning our thoughts we can identify which ones are causing us pain, understand them with compassion, and release unnecessary suffering and return back to our natural state- love and compassion.
Once you find this thought ask.
- Is it true?
- Can I be sure 100% that it’s true?
- How do I feel when I think it?
- What are some good reasons to hold onto it?
- Who would I be without it?
You’ll never regret getting to know yourself and fearlessly questioning what makes you tick.
